Olivia | the baby plan | twin cities baby photographer

Smiles, adorable outfits and wild hair…she is just perfect!

Olivia is a member of the Baby Plan so we will get to watch her grow up over the next year. Her mama is a friend of mine so I cherish our chance to catch up together we adore this precious little girl. She has twin sisters and a big brother at home,  a family that loves God and is filled with gratitude. Try to look at these picture and not smile, I can’t!

Cherish each moment. They grow up WAY TOO FAST!

our story | week 15 | my boy

Monday night was date night at Beckham’s preschool. We played in each classroom and had a little pizza party. To spend time with just my little guy is so special and doesn’t happen near enough. I love the little details that I notice and the funny conversations that we have. We started and ended the night with a little photo session and some amazing ice cream. Beckham brought his favorite Ni-Night with him. I just wanted to take some photos of him, just how he is right now (and with his favorite bear). He is very concerned that he won’t be able to bring Ni-night to heaven. Our prayers often are requesting this of God.

The concerns of a four year old are innocent and sincere. I adore him.

On our way home I asked him what his favorite part of the night was.

“Just being with you, Mom.”

It was right then that I fell in love with him all over again.

Beckham, I love to you infinity. I love you to the moon and back. I love you a little less than I love God but with all my heart. If I could choose any little boy in the whole wide world I would choose YOU every single time. Blessed am I to be your mommy. Thanks for sharing your night and your heart with me.

our story | week 14 | one year later

It is May and we have only had a few nice days so far. I really can’t believe it, but we have been taking advantage of “Beckham’s Park” as he calls it as much as possible. Here is how we’d like to spend a few more evenings. Take a look at this…

It is so easy to forget because they grow and change a little every day.

As adults the years don’t change us much (or we keep telling ourselves). But in the life of a child they look different, feel different, speak differently. They tell jokes, sing songs and play together. They can run faster and jump (finally) and learn games. They just keep getting bigger right before our eyes. Thankfully, they still love their mama and to them our family is still their world. I don’t want to see what our 2014 photos will look like. For now, I am going to cherish 2013 and these precious babies that are mine.

our story | week 13 | real life

Last week I posted our fancy Easter photos. You know, the ones that hang on your wall and go in your photo album…wait, does anyone even have those anymore (that is for another post!). Well, this week I got time to do a little editing of our real life. The hunting for eggs with sock buns in your hair. The egg hunting in the freezing snow. Yes, it snowed on Easter. The messy hair and pure joy of a wonderful day with both sides of our family. Welcome to our real life…

And an actual family picture, messy hair and all.

Love seeing what your Easter really looked like. The fancy dress, coat and rainboots is just perfect…and so adorable.

facebook and frames | twin cities custom photographer

Facebook has been changing so fast and I am sad that so many of you aren’t able to see my posts (and adorable kiddos) anymore. To ensure that you get the latest updates – and awesome deals like this one please do two things.

First – make sure you “like” Heather Hanson Photography

Second – when you put the curser over liked a drop down screen will come up. Click “show in newsfeed” to see all of my posts.

Lastly, don’t worry about Facebook and simply click on the  SUBSCRIBE button on the side of this page. Enter your email address and the posts will be emailed to you.

OK…who is ready for an awesome frame sale?

ME! Really, I am going to order a bunch too. I just love them and can’t seem to have enough up in my house. I have some in my powder room, eating area and a few up in the studio. Both my kiddos need a really big one or maybe a cluster up in their rooms next. The best thing about frames is that it is a one time investment and then it is inexpensive to switch out the pictures when you want a different look.

Usually I include mounted prints will all frames, but for this special your frames will arrive without a picture. All of the frames come without glass so I recommend getting your pictures printed at mpix.com (they have free shipping until April 10th). Always do the lustre coating (it protects your photos from UV and fading) and consider doing matboard or foamcore mounting for frames. It makes your photos sturdy and they will hold up better. Really, for an 11×14 you are looking at $13-$25 depending on what mounting you choose. Pretty great prices and the perfect addition to your adorable frame!

Here are a few of my favorite groupings and please remember the size listed is the size of the actual print not the frame. Please add about 5-8 inches to both the height and width to get the actual frame size.

A few of my favorite frame displays are:
